  • CCA request signed for

I sent a CCA request to a collection agency after a letter from their solicitor threatening court if no response within 30 days. Both posted Royal Mail signed for. The solicitor shows as received and signed for after 1 day, over a week later though and nothing showing for the collection agency, shows that it’s still with the Royal Mail. No reply from either the solicitor or the agency. What do I do if the CCA request did not show as received?

Contact the Solicitors by email to inform them that you see they have received it, but their client has not signed for the request and ask them if they intend to pass a copy to them or they would like you to send another copy to them?

This is one of the downsides of using Royal Mail Signed For - it is not a Tracked Service. There is also the possibility that as it had to be signed for then they may just have refused delivery. You are much better off just getting a Certificate of Posting (free) and relying on it being deemed to be delivered after 2 working days - 1st Class - or 5 working days - 2nd Class.

Most likely this is an unreliable service, it seems to me that they won’t send it, just try to write support or a manager, maybe they will solve your problem, but in the future I advise you to go to the site https://www.ordertracking.com/couriers/mailamericas . Everything is very reliable, fast and there is a lot of choice. I always order there and there were no problems yet
