I had a mortgage some six or seven years ago with Blemain finance. The people i asked to act for me (Black lion Law) have said that they cant do anything as it is more than six years. however I thought that mortgage related issues could be persued for twelve years from the end of the relationship. can anyneadvise . Preferably with chapter and verse.

You can bring a complaint yourself Seduraed.

Are you looking at undisclosed commission for PPI added to the mortgage or between broker and Blemain?

Broker commission should be able to go back to if the mortgage was sold after Oct 2004 ( when MCOBS came in ) and PPI as far as you like as it was a misrep/fraud issue.

Have you already got all your documents from Blemain ?

Undisclosed commission. As I have-already claimed for PPI and had-additional unsicited payment from them. I have had no documents from email. So far I have used a claims management t company. The one who said it was not recoverable was black lion law. I am not sure what to do next.

Did black lion get involved through the CMC ?

Have you obtained your loan documents ? If not, do a SAR to the lender, then if any commission isn't disclosed on the KFI or loan docs, and you think there was commission, make a complaint directly to the lender.

indeed, and if you had a broker retained to get you the best deal and they took a backhander from the lender, then you could claim the commission which is in effect held on trust for the borrower.

The broker no longer exists. Thetydisappeared shortly after the loan was finalised.
