Thanks for that. I have just checked my credit file and it still shows Lowell debts of the sum amount and default date is 15-08-2014 but last payment I made to Capital One was around March;2008.

Presumably you mean default date is 15-08-2008... :noidea: as we are not yet in August.... :colbert: Defaults are normally recorded 3 to 6 months after your last payment, so that sounds about right. Do bear in mind default dates on credit files have no bearing on SBd status. :thumb:

Can I ask Lowell to remove this information or write to Credit reference agencies in order to remove this incorrect information?

If the default was recorded in August 2008, it wouldn't be incorrect, falling within 6 months of your last payment. It should drop off in August this year or thereabouts. :grin:

so I guess I still cannot take sigh of relief until august 2014 and hope they dont put another cc claim on me
