  • Robinson Way Text

Hi, for the last 2 weeks I have been receiving text messages from Robinson Way telling me they are trying to contact me so please call them. They have also given a reference no. to quote.
I am very hesitant to contact them as I know these debt companies can be very full on. I do not have any debts & have checked my record and all is clear.
Last year I discovered I had a CCJ on my record from Lowell. I was able to prove the debt was not mine, the CCJ was set aside and I then received a letter stating the claimant discontinues all of the claim. Could this contact from Robinson Way be something to do with the previous alleged debt?
Basically I would like peoples opinion - ignore the text or send letter asking what they want.

Normally i would say ignore them ,but if you are sure you have no debt issues then ring them and ask for alleged details in writing only otherwise they will keep on contacting you .

I have literally just received a letter in the post from Robinson Way.....In a box there is the reference number, Account Number and says Due to HPH2 LTD (EX SANTANDER) Amount due: £623.82???
So this is bizarre - I had a Santander account years ago which as far as I am aware was at £0 and I havent used in years. Just checked my clearscore online again and it shows the Santander account at £0, still registered to an address I havent lived at for 8 or 9 years but under frequency it says monthly?? I know I should of just closed the account down but at the same time I didn't think it would matter if at 0 and not being used.
Any advice on what I should do

Santander could be a bank account or a store / credit card, it'll have been sold to Hoist Portfolio ( HPH2 ) and Robinson way are collecting on their behalf. I think as a first step I would send a CCA request for documents. CCA Request

Keep everything in writing so you have a paper trail.

It could also be worth sending a Data Protection request to Santander to get details of all accounts. Subject Access Request Letter
