Just wanted to say Thanks for this wrote to Bcard on 25th July, 2010.. got a reply 30 July 2010 total refund 159.00 thanks so much for your help....

Fantastic news moon-shadow, well done.

I hope this encourages anyone else reading who has credit card charges, whether they be Barclaycard or any other lender, to pursue a refund.

I did exactly the same, I copied and pasted the letter Tools had sent, mine went on the 21-07-2010, and today I received a refund of £1035.25:whoo:, which included the interest, RESULt, just thought you might like to know

When Tools did his reclaim of charges he did not have his statements he just simply wrote asking for all the charges back and they did and refunded him on the 9th day.

In any event they will only refund 6 years so 2004 is correct.

Im going through the motions with barc card for charges refund, now the sticking point:
I SAR'd them and only got records back to 2004 (account was closed in 2006). Barccard have stated in their filed defence that statute of limitations applies here (!) I've requested now TWICE for them to hand over ALL records and not just up to 6 years back, as I know that charges go way back 2004,3,2 etc. Anyway can I force their hand or do they genuinely only keep records 6 years back from now despite when the account was closed which sounds suspicious to me.

If it was less than 6 years ago then you can send a Subject Access Request with £10 to Barclaycard.

i had a barclycard years ago (amongst others) cant remember anything about account number, how can i get that???
