Hi All,
So I just need to check that I'm on the right track here.
I bought a TV from AO in November 2017, it arrived in December 2017, so it's just outside it's 12 Month warranty with LG.
It's an LG OLED, so it wasn't cheap £1500 to be precise, and it''s now suffering from horizontal banding, dark spots. This is sort of a known issue, I'm not the only person to have the exact fault.
Now the TV was paid for using their finance provider v12 retail finance. So I believe I am still able to make a section 75 claim as if it was a credit card payment as the agreement is covered under the CCA 1979.
I would expect AO to repair this , but as expected, they are dragging their heels. I have emailed them stating that under CRA 2015 I don't find it to be of 1) Satisfactory quality and 2) Be fit for purpose. And it's certainly not lasted what i would call a reasonable amount of time based on how much it gets used and it's age. 14 Months old!
So would I have a claim under section 75? I think I may need to get an independent engineer to come out and do a report on the fault.
