SL please don`t be daunted by the prospect of taking a claim to court. Everyone here will help you every step of the way. As Enaid says, at the moment any claims entered within court are being stayed subject to a decision from the Judge sitting on the OFT test case. While you are awaiting that decision make sure you have everything prepared and ready to go , ie schedules of charges, contact addresses, preliminary request letter etc.

Start a thread in Abbey if you haven`t done so already(sorry I haven`t checked)[edit]just realised this IS in the Abbey forum:doh:

Good luck with everything else that`s going on at the moment I know everyone here is offering their help.

I have reported Abbey to the FOS back in early December on the forms that you download from the internet, they then wrote and asked for all the documentary evidence and they have appointed me a case worker and guess what - nothing yet has happened - theres a surprise. But it is worth completing the form and sending it in ASAP so that your claim is registered when the outcome of the OFT test case decision is reached - which I believe will be in the next xouple of months.

              Re: scottishlass/abbey

Okay just had a thought about this, not sure if I can go ahead with this one would I need his consent to claim as it is a joint account ?

I should have done this by now, just can't get my head round it at the moment.

              Any ideas.

mmmmmmmmmm you should have his consent, however if the account is run of sole signatories rather than joint (ie you don't both need to sign cheques) then you should be okay claiming it on your own.

Does all mail from this account still come solely to your address ?
