Right, just spoken to Joyce Tudor. They acknowledge that I paid SAR request back in January so no need to pay again (agh, at last), and she also said they were just waiting on a letter from me signed by hubby too saying it was ok to send out all joint info held on account i.e. FULL SAR, not just statements. I sent that letter to them on 27th June. She still hasnt had it she said. As soon as it arrives, they will be going to Bradford branch for a full copy of my file she said. (gawd I hope it contains info of all charges going back further than 6 years, because she said they cannot provide info any older than that.) Nattie I quoted the thing you posted in the info section about back office, option 1, etc. etc. and she just laughed, and said that is rubbish. I do not know where you have got that from but there is no facility anywhere to allowing us to go back further than 6 years, except on specialist accounts, (the odd on or two), dunno what that meant, but she said there would be no way I would be getting hold of charges/statements going back any further than 6 years. They dont hold the info and they are not obliged to provide it even if they do............So, looks like I hit a sticky wicket Nattie. They will send me copy of full SAR i.e. my file, but is that going to be any use to me Nattie without info of charges, i.e. statements going back any older than 6 years. Why do they lie to us............. why ???? surely they cannot get away with it. She also added even when they send me copy of my file and its contents held at Bradford branch that they are only obliged in law to send me anything in there pertaining to the last 6 years, no more............. aghghghgghgggh, why is that......... is that true, is that right ? I thought full SAR entitled me to everything in my file regardless of how old the info was. Aghghgghgggghghghghggh..... bad day............ really frustrating bad day. xx

Well just spoke to the lovely Joyce Tudor again. I told her there is evidence on the site over the road of somebody who got their info dating back to 94. She just said Im not being difficult, but we dont have information going back that far, and if we do then I would like to speak to the person who told you we do because we dont. I just said it was a friend working in the bank and she laughed again and said well who is this friend. Perhaps I should be speaking to them then instead of you. She was nice enough, but it was like getting blood from a stone. No way is she admitting they do info any older than 6 years. No way. And the really frustrating thing is that she says even with FULL SAR, not just statements, they are only obliged under Data Protection law to provide anything in my file up to 6 years old. Everything I think of I just come up against a brick wall. I cannot prove they do info going back older than that, other than to refer her over the road to read threads, but she wont do that, and even in court, would a court make them provide info older than this. Im just so so so so frustrated. Being fobbed off and lied to and theres absolutely nothing I can do to prove otherwise. Its very very annoying.
NVM, will see if anything turns up this week in the form of FULL SAR REQUEST info. We can only wait and see. Nothing more........

Keep at em Fendy hun, I'm about to join you on the pre 6 yr chase, with hubby's account! not worth doing it on mine, coz there's nothing there over 6 yrs. my account was just used as a float. Hubby on he other hand had some serious charges while he was between jobs in 94, so I'm hoping beyond hope (it seems) that we can get that info and claim those back too. I'm deffinatly watching this thread with interest....Hubby want's to get my claim out the way first but I think i'm gonna get him to send the SAR request now to start the ball rolling Lol.
Keep at em hun, I'll be here in the corner as allways cheering you on

You know, you would have thought that Natwest would have learnt from dealing with you the first time round and just hand you everything you need right now and just give you the money. It would save so much of their time and money! When we love, we always strive to become better than we are.

Me too Nattie. Me too. Lol Lol.............. just for info I post below what it says in her letter to me:
I would like to advise that we are fully aware of the Natwest archive. This archive only contains information prior to 2002 and can often assist us in locating customers accounts. As your account is still open it was unnecessary to use this feature to locate your account. Further, I would like to advise you that it does NOT provide FULL SAR information on its own. A full subject access request contains copies of any letters that have been sent between yourselves and the bank, any computerised prints, amongst other paperwork we hold. The only information held in the archive that is relevant therefore are the computer notes which are always included in a full SAR anyway. With regards to your request for statements dating back to your account inception, it is not always possible to produce statements from the account opening date. We will however, provide statements and information as far back as is possible, in your case 1996, and not 1992 as you stated in your SAR letter.
Blah blah blah. But the basis is they will now send the info. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY, THANKS NATTIE. xxxxxxx Gawd if ever your id does get out there, I OWE YOU BIG TIME MY FRIEND........... BIG TIME. And I will then know where to send the thank you gift when that day comes.............. Fendy xxxNatwest Round 1 - Won £16,080 after 6 month battle

This is e mail I sent em, courtesy of our Nattie, lol lol xxxxxx
Dear Ms Tudor,
I refer to my letters requesting full SAR on my file back in January and our subsequent conversation today wherein you advised that you will get the information sent out to me just as soon as possible. With regard to your comment about you can only provide full SAR file going back no further than 6 years. I have evidence to the contrary that you can infact go back much much further, to approx. 1992.
For you information FULL SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST under the Data Protection Act (1998) covers ALL data in a relevant filing system for an indeterminable period not just statute of Limitations Act 6 years. You are either trying to deliberately mislead me OR DO NOT KNOW YOUR OWN COMPUTER SYSTEMS. I refer to notes from a friend working within the RBS group. Notes on NatWest Group PLC Archives . This will advise you how to access all my file information going right back to my accounts inception with Natwest which is what I require under full SAR law.
YOU CAN SEE. Check this out for yourself, if you have any difficulty undertaking this simple task I am more than happy to come go to a local Natwest Branch and pull this information off mysef.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Bank Office Master Index, 04, 26, then 45 (you can just do 04, 45) That is the NatWest Archive.
Option 1 which gives you 12 options of which one is customer notes/events. You click that option which has a screen which says ALL EVENTS press ENTER you then have notes on account starting on the page nearest to October 2002 and going back to 1992. In case you are unaware you can print the page or go into the note and press Print.
If you follow the instructions above that will give you all the SAR information you need to access my entire files, which I require fill copies of under data protection act SAR request.
I trust the information above will help you obtain the information I am requesting. And I look forward to receiving the information togeether with your confirmation that you will be sending this to me this week.
Thank You
