Re: Confused over Statutory Demand Notice

      Sorted it.

Apparently the accounts dept of Wilson Rose cashed the cheque but then didn't pass the covering letter to the relevant dept.

The SD notice was sent because the balance was increased to £900+ because of failure to get in touch (their fault not passing the letter on). The person on the phone has amended the balance to what it should be and will send a letter out with the details. They became very apologetic when I started reading out their own letter and when I told them I had proof of sending and receiving etc.

The Serving Agent has now been called off so that's one less thing off my mind.

Thanks for all the help and advice much appreciated!

I can well imagine, and I reckon they deserved it so don't feel bad for them.

Have you read through the other thread?, I think your input on the contract etc with consumer net might help anxiousmumof3 work out what to do.
