      hmmm.

What were the circumstances of you leaving ? Did you resign / whistleblow / just walk out / sacked ?

Couldn't cope with the constant mistakes etc so just quit.
WRT whistle blowing etc in my job it always comes down to whether anyone will employ you after you do that, I know there are supposed to be laws/ safeguards but it doesnt always work like that. the other side is if you stay and theres an incident and you should have reported concerns you get penalised then as well

That's okay we'll try help all we can. You have 18 days from when you receive the Stat Demand to apply for set aside.

In my mind it is contested and a stat demand is inappropriate for a claim like this.

Did you report your employer at all for the issues with safety - trade body or anything?

I watched it get worse and worse till they had just 3 engineers doing the work of 8, when I found the last mistake I knew I couldn't deal with it anymore. i know I didnt go about it well but I panicked I think.

Thanks! I obviously mentioned concerns to employer but not trade body etc. as its the individual engineer who is registered with Gas Safe/ Oftec etc and I actually wasnt sure if there was anyone I could go to in an anonymous capacity, as too worried about never being employed again!

Re: Help! Notice to serve a Statutory Demand and I dont know what for.

                    No that;s understandable.

So I think it hinges on whether you knew you would have to repay the training costs, under what circumstances you'd have to pay them, and how much you would be liable for. Also how much the training actually was.

I think that makes it disputed. I'll have to have a think about it and talk to a couple people.

I'd like to see the letter Redwood sent about publicising the stat demand.

Try and accept service if you can.

have found a paragraph in employment contract saying to refer to whistle blowing policy. I was never given a copy of that policy, it would be saved with the other things. I dont know if thats relevant.

is there anyway I can accept the service without being there? I really am at work so cant be there tonight! Can I get partner to take it for me?

Is there anyway to accept service without being there as will have to be working tonight and probably most other times they can do! Can my partner accept? Can they post it?
I can scan and send letter later if it helps?
