So tell him that you thought you had paid it off, but the bästärd bailiff has added a lot more fees which he's already taken from the money you've paid.

Before I start to tear out my hair from exasperation, please take up this matter with your local elected councillors.

Part of what you are paying in Council Tax goes in allowances to those steatopygous gents, so they might as well do some work for a change.

What I suggested earlier - telling your boyfriend/partner that you thought you had paid it off, but the damn bailiff has taken most of what you paid in fees for his company (on which he gets commission) and only paid a little bit to the council.

Louise-jane......you are systematically digging yourself furthur and furthur into a hole here,,you're being deceitful with your boyfriend and not actually hearing the good advice you have been given over 3 pages of this thread so CALM DOWN AND START READING PROPERLY,,THE BAILIFF DOESN'T GIVE A MONKEYS UNCLE WHERE YOU GET THE MONEY FROM AS LONG AS YOU GIVE IT STRAIGHT TO HIM,,HE CAN TAKE HIS CUT AND PENNIES IN THE POUND ARE GOING TO THE COUNCIL AND YOU GETTING YOUR KNICKERS IN A KNOT ISN'T GOING TO CHANGE THAT.
FOLLOW THE ADVICE YOU ARE BEING GIVEN..POST THE INFO UP THAT CLOGGY ASKED FOR AGES AGO AND LET LB HELP YOU,,DITHERING IS NOT DOING YOU ANY FAVOURS.
                  AND BREATHE.......................................
Take it from an old gal who has been there, done that,,lying to your partner about this is going to implode and could seriously damage your relationship,,and you are terrifying yourself needlessly.

I've just read online that if I've paid the councils debt that bailiffs cannont use there powers to get back there fees is this correct? As I technicaly only owe about £60 for council tax all the rest is bailiff fees

By paying the money to the bailiff, you've already paid their excessive fees!

The bailiffs take their "fees" first and, if they've deigned to have anything left, that's what the council will get.

I see that the "removal notice" contains the usual threat of removing goods in the debtor's absence, even though Parliament has yet to legalise burglary.

Do you have any note on which he wrote down the items to be seized?
