You may have gathered by now that you are not alone in feeling that way.

Can you put up an image - a scan or a photograph - of the Form 7 Notice of Seizure?

I have a feeling 2014 is going to be the year the politicians get the shock of their lives when they realise the people have woken up to what is going on and want answers - and fast - and the civil enforcement industry gets the shock of its life when the fraud and corruption they have engaged in becomes common knowledge and the less reputable elements within the civil enforcement industry get the bloody good hiding they have had coming to them for a long time.

Happy New Year to you all.
So,,because OP has let the bailiff in to her b/f's house, does that mean the b/f has to produce receipts or swear a Stat Dec that every pot ,pan and lightbulb is his and his alone??
(edit.......just seen Bizzys reply up there )

To OP,,,,if I were you (and I have been in exactly the same position)..I'd tell the boyfriend what is going on,the stress must be manifesting itself and he's probably wondering what the hell is going on?
Easy for me to say,I know,,but honesty really is the best policy here cos if he only finds out once a hairyarsed bailiff is stood on his doorstep he is not gonna be a happy camper is he?
He can't help you if he knows nothing.

If you hide he'll come back
If you go out..he'll come back
He knows who you are? Unless you grow a new head he'll know you haven't moved
Let him in?? Sorry, but that's insane,NEVER LET A BAILIFF IN.

I'll let the knowledgeable on here tell you what actions to take.....which I guarantee WON'T include letting him in !

                    Re: rossendale bailiffs

Ive read that if they have two unsuccessful visits the debt has to go back to the council so if I'm out hopefully that'll happen
Or he'll bring a lock smith and take my goods
Obviously my phone will be with me as he ain't taking that off me its all pictures of my baby girl on it

                      Re: rossendale bailiffs

I rather doubt the oaf would want to take a 'phone without a charger or an old laptop which also does not have a charger listed with it. They'd not fetch enough at auction to meet his costs and the auctioneer's costs, let alone pay anything off the debt.

That is why it is so important that you post up an image (or, at least, the exact details) on the form he left with you when he levied on your goods.

You could always tell the bailiff to go play with the traffic on the nearest trunk road or motorway.:santa2:

                              Re: rossendale bailiffs

With regard to the phone and what Sir Vere mentioned about sensitive data, I think that includes any bank details or other private personal info also that may be on a phone these days, if the bailiff took the phone containing images of the infant, I would be a completely nasty bugger and report him to the police for possessing children's images for a nefarious purpose.

No seriously don't let him in, and you will need to let BF know what is going on or he could get up one morning and the bell-end bailiff has clamped HIS car, or called whan you are out and he is in, and he lamps the bailiff. Not a good idea to hide it from him long term

Have to agree that the OP has to tell their partner everything there is enough trouble at the moment and the worry of the next knock on the door without what his reaction may be if the bailiff clamps his car .
