As it seems the Rundles's oaf hasn't bothered to check that the Council Tax has been paid, send a letter to them (and copied to the Head of Revenues at the council) informing them that the debt has been paid. Enclose a photocopy of the receipt with each letter, if you got a receipt; if you only got an email receipt, enclose copies of that.

Also, hide your motor car and anything else outside your house that you'd not like the jerk to take. If you have a garage that can be securely locked, use that for storage of your motor car (and so on) until, at least, the council has informed you in writing that the account has been withdrawn from Rundles.
He knows full well I have paid the council in full with the 24.50 on top for him. Its his fees of 204.50 that this is all about. I didnt think he could take my possessions for fee's? Maybe in wrong.

Unfortunately I havent got a garage but there are three cars on my driveway. One of mine and two which are my partners. One being his work van. X

The reason is that he is/was still breathing.

The only time that bailiffs cease to tell lies is when they're in a coffin - and, preferably, with an oaken stake pounded through where their heart ought to be.

He told me i owe him £204.50 and when i asked what it was for he said he had sent me two letters in the post
This is - of course - utter stercus bovi.

As it seems the minions at the council do not know any better and cannot be bothered to learn, you'd need to take this up with the council's Head of Revenues or whatever that steatopygous gent is called where you are. The council is ultimately responsible for the conduct of the bailiffs or bailiff company it chooses to appoint.

You'll need to send a copy of the first letter from the "useful letters" page - link - to both the Head of Revenues and to Rundles. It is your right to know those data.

If the oaf has never attended but merely sent letters by post, his lawful fees are precisely nil.

this is what I told him on the phone. He came to my house once and popped a letter through my door. The next day I paid the debt in full but all he did was threaten me with police, taking my belongings and upping my debt to them every time he jas to visit me! Im still waiting for the council to send me the receipt and a letter stating that have called off the bailiff the day it was payed. Atleast I can send rundles a copy of that and tell them to leave off! X

How did you pay ? if it's online then you may be able to print off a receipt . However go to your council tomorrow and insit on a receipt for the payment and ask why it has taken so long to produce one .

If that ursine oaf only visited once and only shoved a note through your door, he is only allowed to charge £24.50

That's why it could be useful to get Rundles and/or the jerk who instructed them to commit any untruths to writing.

Perhaps they'd mislaid the office finger extraction tool?

                  Letters in the post???????:confused2:

They are called visit fees, not correspondence fees!:der:
The Black rat (Rattus rattus) is a common (hence the accusation of being Pleb) long-tailed rodent of the genus Rattus (rats) in the subfamily Murinae (murine rodents). The species originated in tropical Asia and spread through the Near East in Roman times (another thing that we ought to thanks the Romans for, besides roads, aqueducts and public toilets) before reaching Europe by the 1st century and spreading with Europeans across the world.

A mutation of the beast now comes black leather clad, riding a motorcycle that looks like a battenbergh cake on wheels.

A skilled predator, totally ruthless with it's prey, but also known to be extremely generous in doling out tickes that can provide points for motorists who want to downsize from mechanically propelled vehicles to bycicles.

It's a dirty job, but someone got to do it!

That bailiff does seem to provide a persuasive argument for post-natal abortion.
