The OFT and one Assembly member replied to me today. The OFT said once i find out the names of the thugs they will tell me which court gave them their certificate to operate, and i can then complain to the correct court.

The AM was even less help, just said there is nothing she, Joyce Watson, can do.

If you have a local beat officer, it would be a good idea to speak to him and ensure that the matter is recorded. That way, the police are 'aware' and reference can be made to it later if necessary.

Hi, it was paid on a credit card, I have since found out they charge £3 for credit card payments and £1 for debit card payments (but no news on their other fees). As such, there is no explanation why I was charged £1 for a credit card payment.

There was no damage done, but I do have photos of boot marks on the door frame and glass. In addition, just to demonstrate my integrity, the trim on the bottom of the door that keeps the rain out that would drip down the door was snapped a couple of weeks ago. No one knows except my household so it would be very easy to claim they broke it. I will not make that dishonest claim though.

I think those working group members should give it some consideration, Excel are obviously out of control.

HMCTS won't be able to deal with your case due to it being for CT. However, the LGO can deal with any matters relating to the behaviour of bailiffs enforcing CT arrears once you have exhausted the council's complaints procedures.

However, I am wondering what any LB Bailiff Working Group members who may be reading this thread think about HMCTS having it drawn to their attention, seeing as Excel is a contractor to HMCTS.

There are problems where these Certificated thugs enforce both civil and HMCS, like Marstons, and Excel do, as the bailiffs are too thick to differentiate between the two. Hopefully Excel will enforce for council tax, somewhere force entry by relying on the DCVA, and put it in writing to the disgruntled debtor, that they are permitted to collect in this way as the warrant allows this. Of course in the case of council Tax this is in their fevered dreams, and the LGO will go to town on them. Even better if it is the right house number, wrong street, and the non debtor gives the trespassing bailiff, and as it is the wrong address they are a trespasser a good hiding.

Best thing is if HMCS sack the lot of them and take enforcement back in house.

Once you have the info as per ploddertom, post it up so Beagles can help you identify which fees are as erroneous as the result in some Excel spreadsheets.

They do not have an automatic right of forced entry for council tax, even with a valid levy in place, it doesn't look like their levy last year is wholly kosher either
