I understood that kim's account had apparently disappeared from the Marston system, thereby making it impossible to make any online payment.

They will doubtless say the hapless call centre operative who pressed the wrong key and deleted the account is signing on as we speak, lessons will be learned shilelaghs will be issued to bailiffs etc etc

HMCTS Enforcement Operations have been given a link to this thread so they can follow developments. The submission that was sent to them is a summarised version of what has happened up to 19 March 2013.

I have read somewhere that if an attempt is made to pay a fine and the payment is refused, this, possibly, renders the warrant invalid. However, it does need to be looked into by HMCTS as preventing someone from paying a fine in order to garner fees is not only unfair, it is, potentially, fraudulent, as alluded by bb, and, possibly, a breach of Criminal Justice and Human Rights legislation.

BlueBottle......If Marstons automated system doesn't recognise the OP's account...does that mean the account isn't valid?One wouldn't pay a debt that now appears to be unknown to Marstons would one?

But if the account isn't valid, and on their system, then arguably they have no right to enforce so marstons could be then regarded as acting and enforcing without authority, which if they threaten forced entry, prison etc, is demanding money with menaces.
