As Micky Flanagan said there is out ‘then there is Out Out’. I was no big fan of Cameron but he always did fight for a reformed EU not a total break. He also, contrary to what many assumed, stuck to his promises, held the referendum and respected the result.
We are already paying through the nose for our decision. Treasury money is being used to try to correct this mornings losses. This will lull people into believing it was ‘just a blip’ little knowing it is not trade and investment but our own money that has correct the crash.
This is a slap in the face to those who thought a leave vote would be a vote against the ‘fat cats’. Not only will they survive but our taxes will be used to keep them going. Not for long though. The money will run out and with it dreams of Utopia.



Airbus,a huge employer in the north west is reviewing it’s UK investment strategy.
JPMorgan/Morgan Stanley is moving jobs to Dublin or Frankfurt and where they go others soon follow.
But not to worry -people are still celebrating ‘Freedom from tyranny’.

Look, don’t believe me when I say this is a disaster but wiser people then I are running for the sandbags. I am not trawling through the news looking for just the bad bits but there are no good facts emerging. Political parties are knifing each other, newspapers are telling us who should be in our new government. I am also appalled and not a little frightened because the general air of open xenophobia is growing.
The economy has been slowing down since the rumblings started and now it is gone into free-fall but instead of Brexit supporters trying to ally fears or explain exactly why this will not result in severe recession they are fist pumping and saying ‘oh that is only a blip’ and making triumphant speeches. A blip! Have we really no concept of what is happening.
The UK is haemorrhaging. It’s industry and economy is bleeding. This morning there was a huge spike in people applying for foreign passports so it is haemorrhaging it’s human resources. And what are the triumphant doing? Grinning for the cameras and patting each other on the back.
A good sign of things to come.
It has all gone a bit ‘Lord of the Flies’.
If we are seeing losses like that -(and remember, this isn’t just a bunch of numbers that will only affect the traders bonuses, these are our pension pots and jobs,) within minutes of trading I shudder to think what the long term will mean.
Many people did vote Brexit as a protest against the Government. Even the Brexit leaders were shocked when they saw the results and as for that ferret Farge, (I concede, I don’t concede!)
Now gradually all organisations are realising what this will actually mean. To be honest they did not really think this would happen but it has and I for one do not blame Cameron washing his hands and walking away because he, and others like him do not want to be a part of this chaos. The MPs who sent him a letter saying he should remain as PM simply did not want to have to deal with the fall out.

Farage had been again the EU for a long time; Cameron was OUT then IN, the same with Corbyn.

I know why this site exists its great with many contributors who tirelessly offer help and advice getting out of the EU will not stop them nor my support for those who help and those who need help.

I too have lost everything -many of us have and we know how it feels. That is why we do not want to see it happen again to us or to anyone. That is why we are on here. That is why sites like this exist.

We had a recession that started in 2008 I lost my businesses and house then why should I feel sorry for anyone now I am only interested in the poor and downtrodden in the UK not Europeans in any shape or form as before we will come through anything that happens after the vote

Actually can I just say that after reading comments on a number of sites Xenophobia is the wrong word -That is a phobia and phobias cannot be controlled. I am seeing out and out racism and bigotry. Small minded and dangerous and now they can claim to have the majority of the population behind them. Terrifying and shameful. I am reading comments about throwing people into the tower, pushing people off the‘WHITE cliffs’ and pulling up drawbridges. All included with statements of how proud the British should be now they have done the right thing. Some cannot wait to go on a clean up rampage.
There has always been a certain amount of this about but now it seems to have exploded or maybe more are saying it out loud.

£120 billion was wiped off the value of UK companies within the first few minutes of trading today.
This is not scaremongering or speculation. This is the News.
Now we are angry because our public purse is mismanaged and it is true that the most vulnerable and those in desperate need are neglected but what do we do when there is nothing going into that public purse and unemployment rises? What do we do when we realise there is nothing in our pension pots?
I am not suggesting that in a few years Britons will be found floating on rafts trying to get to the French coast but I am already seeing European companies holding off investment and jobs in jeopardy. A quick glance at the business news will show that this is far from a knee jerk blip.

It looks like Scotland will leave, Northern Ireland will return to a hell hole once border controls go up and Wales, well, the Welsh farmers are suddenly going to realise they cannot survive without the EU so will be forced to sell out to the big landowners. It will make the Highland clearances look like the Teddy Bear’s picnic!
So The Great will go from ‘Great Britain’ and the United will be gone from ‘United Kingdom’.
Not to worry though; we can all go and enjoy a public hanging!

well call it about a week's wage for EU membership, which is 21 mill a day x 6.

I'm old enough to remember Britain without any obligation to Europe apart from those resulting from Britain saving the " Europeans " from Nazi domination.

I remember clearly Wilson, Thatcher et al and the lengthy speeches for and against joining a " Common Market " free trade amongst the members was the " ideal " it's my opinion that the morally corrupt idea of a European super state with it's own armed forces at the beck and call of unelected bureaucrats is abhorrent, one bunch of fanatics has tried that in 1939 and was slapped down for doing so.

Having worked in areas where EU law /regulation greatly interfered in what and how we were able to accomplish tasks passed down from the UK elected government I'm pleased to say good bye to the EU bring on " article 50".

Weirdly Twitter isn't full of Brexiter's celebrating.... yesterday (and for weeks) it was full of people shouting VoteLeave VoteLeave - where are they today ? Sh*tting themselves probably. Like that woman on the BBC this morning who is scared and worried, who voted leave but 'didn't think it would count'.

We'll have to start calling you, "Tory Girl" (emphasis added) ha ha. Thatcher was the epitome of business - whereas Labour at that time were more working class inclined. So, if you had money you'd likely love Thatcher as she looked after you in that sense. If you were in poverty you'd have loathed Thatcher, as the poor were hardly educated and the benefits' system would have been a miserly as can be, dole offices separated the poor by perspex screens, borstal-esque, with complimentary graffiti all around the room. The EU came in and made the dole offices 'poor friendly'....civil service staff desks in the 'open' benefits' offices were now at either side of the centrally located comfortable seating, with a few burly security officers who are more civilised owing to the industry's professionalization. However, the benefitees dare not raise their voice for fear of a situation specific criminal offence of assault (ie shouting at the DWP staff) angry at their benefit being sanctioned. Society is very interesting to analyse and construct and de-construct. No society knows what goes on in the other. It's so fascinating.
