Re: Trades Gateway & Train 4 Jobs - How to complain

Hi Amethyst. I complained to the ombudsmen last night and hoping that they can sort it out. But sadly they gave me there final answer on the 21st of Januay with a copy of a credit agreement which i will admit i signed but i was never left a copy of it! So when they gave me the final answer with this agreement i was very upset so i just didnt do anything and hope they would just go away (silly me).

Do you think that they can do anything providing they gave me the final answer on the 21st? And also very annoyed i was never left a copy of the credit agreement! Im playing right into their hands.

When you have made your complaint to the ombudsman have you told them you were not left a copy of the agreement as well?

Yes i stated that when they responded back that they sent me a copy of the agreement and i was never even left a copy of it.

I wish i took more time to write what i had to say to them but i sort of done it in a bit of a mad rush. Silly me, again.

I also stated how the nvq they was offering you simply couldnt achieve and if you could achieve this said nvq it would be very dangerous to work on other peoples electrics with so little experience.

Also stated how i was informed it was a pay as you go sort of thing which my course advisor Phil who came to the house said if i did ever wish to cancel i could but the money i spent would be non-refundable.

Also stated how i never knew about the time frame for the course when i was told it was a course that works around me.

Also stated how with the practical weeks when they say you got 2 weeks practical, its actually a full 2 weeks straight which he said to me that you could do a couple of days a week!

What will happen next? I stated my case last night so are you able to give me a brief description on what will happen nex

Has anyone written to atl and had any success as i've just got back from holiday and received a letter stating that i must pay the outstanding balance or it will be passed on to the courts. I haven't written to them myself but i am getting some help from a facebook group callled "STOP the trading of TRAIN 4 TRADE & SKILLS TRAIN" a few have had a successful court case against them due to there cancellation rights not being sent to them after they signed up apparently.. i am currently trying to get 1 of there group to look into my case as i have no idea how to proceed with the legal side. from what i have read you can go down the route of either your cancellations rights haven't been sent meaning the contract is non and void by the courts or you can sue for staturory rights in respects to "claim in respect of goods or services -if you believe any goods or services provided under this agreement are unsatisfactory or that the supplier has made mis - representation about them and the goods or services.

The claim in respects of goods is in black and white on you loan agreement ;-)

Re: Trades Gateway & Train 4 Jobs - How to complain

Hello everyone, as I can see I'm not the only one who has signed a finance agreement with Train4Jobs. Would like to ask you guys a couple questions about cancellation. I have signed a " study form " about 18 months ago. I live in the UK for 36 months. 22 myself at the moment. The man who came round my house told me it's like pay as you go contract where I have to sign a couple peaces of paper and college will sponsor the rest of the amount. Been making monthly payments of £125 all this time, even while I was abroad. Had my own personal issues and only now started having deeper look into this course. Obviously find out that's not like as I have been told. They won't put me on the nearest Building site and have go to their learning center, Which is miles away from me. Just can't afford it. That time when I have signed a contract, did not know nothing about putting myself into a dept and it's some finance agreement. Had clue what it is. Did not understood the salesman well. Because had a language barrier. While we where having a chat. He said college he works for will pay for it, I just need pay for time being on the course. I will have to pay up to £5000 if it would take me years to lean. But no one has been studying that long. Salesman said they have only one space left and one of his colleagues is with someone else. So he rang his manager or someone else to ask if this space is still free and I can apply for it. He said You're lucky because other person is till with potential student. So I was satisfied that I got a brilliant chance . I've been put on the spot. Man Named Hazard gave me a bundle of papers to signed saying if I could afford pay £ 30 per week and that took £50 deposit. Said there is no time for reading, he will explain for me everything. He put £5000 saying that's how much college will pay and You paying £50 for now and then £32 per week. I WAS STUPID and had no clue nothing about any finance agreements or loans. I'm still have to ring them up every month to make a payment of £125. Can't set up a direct debit. I'm absolutely confused and don't know what to do. Because possibly will be going back abroad to live. So don't want to be working there and sending money just to pay for nothing. Can anyone help me Please. Would appreciate it.

Re: Trades Gateway & Train 4 Jobs - How to complain

hello. 10 months ago, I signed up for a course called TRAIN 4 JOBS, who signed a loan agreement with CARNEGIE CONSUMER FINANCE. The seller of course offered me false information about this course saying that the contract is with the school TRAIN 4 JOBS , but in reality he made me a loan lender. we reached the health and safety online test. I did it four times and of course I did not. and they sent me a test on the paper. and when I asked for details about the test. they did not explain anything to me, just read some books, and you will manage to solve it. of course I did not succeed.
how could I get rid of that contract and recover my money that I have paid so far for nothing. thank you in advance

                      Hi all.

I too signed up to Train4jobs and finance is with Carnegie Consumer Finance.

I was lied to by the sales rep and only now when I have looked deeper into the company I have found that I am going to loose all my money and this course is not worth it. This course is going to cost me £7000 +.

I emailed train4jobs about the certificates I would receive and they contradict the ones that are written in the course book.

Can this be used to terminate the contract as I was told I would be receiving the highest qualification when in actual fact I will not.

                      Thank you

I've been paying money off my course costing over £7000 and was told so many different things when visited to what was the actual facts. tried not paying and losing out what I had paid already but was told that I would get the full amount to a debt collector. I already had some qualifications which I told him about bit said this would upgrade them

like most on here I've been conned by trades gateway for their welding course I've come to the end of the course time but still paying for the finance. I'm not sure if I can say because of what this forum offers but I have spoken to a solicitor and and they are happy to go no win no fee if I can get enough people together to stand against them on the grounds of been miss old. I'd like to leave my email address but again I'm not sure if that's allowed. Please comment to let me know if anyone is Interested

Hi DON01, am interested as am in the same situation with Train4jobs /Tradestech if you are still looking for people . I have now been referred to debt collectors as I refused to pay. They never set up direct debit payments with me so I was using pay points.
