Hi. I sent them an email and they haven’t yet replied and its been over a month. I still keep receiving threatening letters from third party debt collectors. I emailed them about these letters to yet no reply so should I assume that the PCN has been taken off their system? Or email them asking for progress? What do u suggest pls?

Don't poke them in the eye. If it is still active wait for the letter before claim then come back

I’m so sorry but I don’t understand what you mean by that.

You just ignore now, save all the paperwork, but wait for them to issue a letter entitled "Letter Before Claim" which means they are attempting to take this to court.

I have received that letter already without any communication regarding my appeal.

                        Hi
I have read the document you have put up today. In my opinion this is NOT a letter before claim. This seems to be a letter from debt collectors saying that if you do not pay up then they will instruct their clients ie TNC to send you a 'letter before claim'. It will be headed 'letter before claim' or 'letter before action' or something with a very similar wording. It will not be headed 'intention to issue a letter before claim'. You need to wait for that and if you get one you MUST respond. But that does not mean that you pay them.

What they have done is sneaky and designed to frighten you but this is the level of behaviour that you must expect from them. Extracting money with menaces is how they make a living.

                          Second that

That letter appears regularly. One point is that a private company cannot issue a summons so they've got that wrong. A letter before claim also has to give you 30 days to respond

Thank u both for your replies. I’ll now wait and see if I get the “letter before claim” without sending them further emails or letters.

I haventhad any communication from them so I’m assuming I should be fine (?)

                              thank you for the help

Don't assume, they have 6 years to bring a claim. File everything away in a safe place.
