But you have challenged the decision of the insurers?
The Vet's bill needs paying, either by you, or by the insurers. Your only argument seems to be that you did not authorise the treatment advised by the Vet.
The problem with that argument is that you did authorise the treatment in the telephone conversation with the Vet so you only have whether your partner was authorised to sign the consent form and whether the consent form is the only thing that gives rise to the contract.
Do you have a copy of the consent form ?
How did the vets claim from the insurers - was that based on the same consent form ?#staysafestayhome
