My partner has received a claim form from the cout from lowel for an old O2 acc bit confused what to do as don't want him to get a ccj as he's just started a new job whigh he's worried will affect his position can we still offer to pay ?can we send the acknowledgement and request a cca? I asked once for one for BT bill but they said as it's telecommunications they didn't need to !any help would be great thanx

Yes he can still offer to pay, however if he does this through the court and offers instalments he will still have a CCJ so he needs to negotiate directly with the claimant- either a full and final settlement or large enough ( affordable ) instalments for the claim to be put on hold while payments are made - usually this is under a consent / Tomlin order.
Before that though he should get the claimant to evidence the debt. O2 are correct that if it was just a telephone service account there's no requirement for them to provide the original agreement under the CCA however they should still provide a breakdown to show how the amount has arisen.
