By the way. I have 20 days before they take this case to court. I need help in how to offer what I can afford monthly to pay back. Ive been told theyve rejected offers from others. And have acted like theyre within their rights to call the shots. I want to offer 20 a month to clear the debt....also can i get help with someone else contacted them on my behalf?

Except for the income sheet, can you post up the letters that you have received from Lowell?

Make sure to redact any personal details.

Do you admit to the debt?

As you aren't sure about the amount being chased you can go back and ask them for further information.

So you'd complete Box C and Box I

                        Box C is ' I don't know whether I owe this debt '

Box I is asking for information you need to obtain before you are reassured that the amount hasn't been over inflated and it is actually owed.
                        So you can ask for
                        - a full statement of the account from inception to date
                        - copy of the original agreement/contract and terms
                        - copy of the notice of assignment
-copy of termination or default notices

You can write a covering letter to return with the form as well if you like to explain that you believe you did have a contract with EE however you do not recognise the amount being requested and, although you do not wish to avoid any legitimate debts, you are concerned that this debt isn't already included within your (self administrered) Debt Management plan, you would like to find out more information before making any offer of payment. Also mention you have sent a SAR (see below) to EE for further details, and that you look forward to hearing from them with clarification shortly.

This was from a mobile phone contract - so you could also send a SAR off to EE to try and find out more information. Subject Access Request Letter
