Chatroom Issues

I have had this problem for the last few weeks but I simply cannot access the Chat room.
Yesterday I tried to access as the server was being sorted out and it prompted for username and password and simply did not accept it at all. Tried a number of times to access it both with vista and once with Mozilla.
Any suggestions?

Chatroom is working fine. If this has been happening for a few weeks it would suggest a problem with your password. Maybe a change of password ? Also check you have flash player installed.

Flashchat should be integrated with the forum login. (ie. u click chatroom and it takes you straight in)

in that case it is the flashplayer issue. God I hate my puter at times. In that case then IT bods how do I sort out flashplayer?

I downloaded that the other day finally after windows vista tried with all its might to do so......is there a way of checking if it is actually on the system cos I am sure I have already got it.?

Try Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove programs, in the list it should have Adobe Flash Player Active X , click on it and underneath should have click here for support, click on it and it will show which version i has, should be 9.0.124.0, that is on xp cant check the vista version till work on monday but generally the same sequence. Hope that helps

Morgan and tools, I have uninstalled the programs and downloaded the programs and it still does not work on windows vista. I guess I will have to wait for a solution. Morgan control panel on vista slightly different to XP. Thanks btw

no problem froggy, still getting to grips with vista myself, i only use it at work dont really like it but suppose i've spent too long with xp but i'll check it out on monday if your still stuck

Froggy - you need "Programs and Features" for Vista.

Can everyone check to see if they can get into the chatroom ok please, I am just wondering if this is just affecting different usergroups ie Registered Members/VIP/Team.

Please let me or Amethyst know if you can/can`t get into the chatroom so we at least know if it is something other than an isolated problem. Thanks everyone for your patience with the database move, it does sometimes throw up some weird results.

I've just clicked on the chatroom button at the top and it's let me in fine.....I'm on Vista if that makes any difference.

Cheers PJ, much appreciated and thanks for the PM in which you say you are running on Vista and browsing on Firefox. You also say that you have to log back in after 5 minutes or so, is anyone else experiencing this please?

Try clearing your cookies PJ and each time you have finished looking at the forums instead of just closing Firefox, click the Log Out tab top right(not saying you don`t but a lot of people do, including myself). This should automatically clear any session cookies from your browser for your next visit to Beagles. If it continues to happen then let us know PJ.

Signed in to chat for 6 minutes. No problems.Only asked to sign in when clicked on the X to exit.

Think we can safely assume that as PJ,CJ and Tuttsi have had no problems that usergroup VIP `oranges` isn`t affected. Any Registered Member`blues` or Team `Purples`or Admin `reds` had any problems please let us know. Thanks everyone for helping.
