You don't get them for every post, else it'd be a bit annoying. Not entirely sure how it works, but you get a 'you may not receive more emails blah blah till you have visited the site again''

You refer to:

That works on an idividual thread by thread basis. Basically you will get a single notification for the first new post (one per subscribed thread), until such time as you are actively logged into the forum again. At which time that resets.

That is the standard way vBulletin boards work anyway.......

Oh and no, nothing yet since I logged out and I THINK I'm subscribed to this thread - maybe I should double check but that means logging in again which burgers up my test.

I am quite pants at VB stuff really, goodness only knows how we got this far !

Failed (I hadnt switched notifications on in my usercp pmsl) - Tools is getting his notifcations though - so will see this evening. I'm def subscribed to this thread so be helpful if someone posts after I've gone Ta xx

BTW. Notifications should still work while you are logged in. They do on every other vBulletin forum I've ever used.

And I'm definitely subscribed with instant notifications.

Heres a new one for you Tools from 10:23pm this evening I noticed none of the posts are showing up in recent posts.

That is weird this post actually showed up in recent posts but 3 or four other posts before this one did not show at all???

Welcome forum doesnt appear in the most recent posts under the chatbox, neither does press, lamppost and a couple others I forget. Site Issues does though lol.

Thanks Ame, but that is so weird, that the welcome messages in particular PT's one was not showing and that is welcome messages. But I am sure they were showing before. Should PT's one be moved to the Lampost? it has gone past a welcome.

I find the "latest" rather than "new" posts list to be more useful.

Yes the Latest Post thing is handy if, like me, you tend to come on, skim through all the new posts and intend to go back and read properly/reply a bit later

Will leave PT's one where it is for a while as lots of peeps seem to be looking for him, and lamppost is only a registered user forum whereas welcome is public.
