        • Just having a couple of cocktails me self, very nice they are too.
Have planted some sprouts today, don't usually grow much veg, but there they were looked so nice and healthy, took
me ages to dig the little plot over as the ground is very hard. Got em in, watered em and the bl88dy sherman tank of a dog (that I do love to bits by the way) decided to have a walk round em, through em and all over em!
Ah well, you live and learn, so a few more cocktals are called for me thinks, just to ease the pain of seeing me brussels squashed

            • Lol Lol Enaid, poor sprouts, poor enaid, all that work, I would give dowgeee a right good talking to, and every time he/she heads over to the sprout patch, I would call them back and offer them a treat, to dissuede said dowgeeeee from going near the patch again, Lol. Home grown organic brussels, ummmmmmmm luverly.................... just hope they grow ok hun for ya after ya efforts. Lots of miracle grow me thinks, lol lol lol or tomatoe feed, xxxx

Well I stuck some rhubarb in about two months back and the dowgeee has done nowt but wee on em since the day they went in. I know you dont get much from em first year theyre in, but hubby loves rhubard, I hate the stuff, too acid for me, but on account of they aint gonna be worth picking this year, then the dowgee can wee on em all he likes. But Ive started shouting at im when he hovers near that corner of the garden so Im hoping to get him non rhubarb weeing trained by next year, so we can actually pick and eat em next year. This years aint gonna be worth anything wot with being weed on every 5 mins, Lol Lol. xxx Was thinking, could just tell hubby dowgeeeee hasnt weed on em, lol lol lol.xxx Depends wot mood Im in and if hubby has been nice to me, me thinks, Lol xxxxx

Nah, couldnt do that to im. Much as hes a miserable sod every so oft. Lol xxx

                          • archer - I moved down to Telford (the shame!) and then from there moved across to Brum (both work reasons)
Thought Kevboy_Telford sounded better than kevboy_brum (especially as I aint from round here)
Strawberry picking is ok in Telford (think there is a farm there that does that)
Enaid on the sprout front - thought about putting netting over it to attempt to stop the dog? Thats what with done but it seems to catch diddy birds instead, which the next door neighbours cat looks at for hours (Sez me with the allotment styleeeee garden out back!) Now that I have to save all me money as I have none [sob sob ]

                            • Hi gang...I'm back...

couldn't get on last night on account of I had a bit of rodeo stunt/major Kodak moment involving me and a pony which went from standstill to flat out gallop whilst I was halfway on, no reins, just a handful of mane.. I was doing quite well and sort of enjoying it till the very large bonfire loomed, the pony jinked, and the ground came to meet me at what felt like 90miles an hour...the sound of my back scraping along the track before I ended up in the bonfire will stay with me forever lol. Good job it wasn't alight....anyway, the consequence of all this was
                              a) everyone was impressed by how well I stayed on
b)there were loads of people saw me make a complete pr*t of myself
c)I have a nasty cut on my arm, presumably from an argument with a branch in the bonfire
                              d) I have no skin on my lower back, approx 6 inches square
and I spent the entire evening alternating between the shower and a salt bath, in between consuming large amounts of liquid pain relief in the form of the lovely Zinfandel.
So this is my excuse for not joining you lot last night..is it good enough??? Cos it don't get no better...and I think I have whiplash (no hat on - how stupid was that....but it was only a small pony...) I know, Lugger and Enaid...they're the worst...I should have know better....
Hubby has just lit the barbie, so may not be on for long tonight either

                              Wendy xx
