  • You probably seen me up there on my stick a few times lol

It was on the 6068, the Padiham bypass, the road that runs from the M65 to Nelson, we live just off it. T'other half at his mum's in Colne at the moment, not sure if the road been reopened yet, last time I looked on the BBC travel site it was still closed.

It did look pretty bad, and the dog was upset that he didn't get his usual walk up there.

I did hear from one guy that saw it, that one of the drivers was on a mobile, they should be bloomin shot, never mind just fined.

    • Grrrrrrrrrr How annoyin' and stoopid are peeps on mobiles when they're driving? Simplest thing to do? Switch the god-damn thing off when you get in the car - that way............... it won't ring!!!!

Hope everyone from the crash is ok though - I hate hearing about road fataliaties. Was in a pile-up on the M62 a few years back and whenever I hear about road crashes I feel as though I'm transported back in time!!! Funny isn't it - a car is a totally lethal weapon when driven by a complete nurr nurr, yet any nurr nurr can drive one!!!

Thing is, the road's up your way aren't meant for bombing along. There's some pretty sharp twists and turns up there. When will peeps learn?????

Hope the other half gets home soon hun. xxx

      • Well have just spoken to him, he had gone to his mum's to sort her pooter out, so we have just converesed via webcam! he's coming back via the motorway and that means he comes from the other end of the road, so it should be ok for him.

I have had the 15 min countdown till he gets here, spose I had better either look human or busy!

Will go stick his food in the oven

                • Evening all
got in about two hours ago, had great afternoon managed to round a couple of friends up, and we all headed up to north Devon (live in south) on the bikes. I have'nt touched it since I threw it on the floor last week, but hubby touched in most on it's war wounds, so I don't feel quite so daft riding it now LOL.

was just great to be out, not sat n front of pc trying to jam my head full of leagal stuff, or surrounded by piles of statements going through the numbers......... just what I needed

                  • Round some friends up? Is that like I used to do with Darwen, when the cows got loose and we had to stop them invading the village?

Oh, heck. I miss old Darwen. I wish I hadn't mentioned him now.
