We are currently sailing in to Port Fourchon to miss the bad weather that's heading our way. Louisiana swamp country. At least there's a bar. Although my resolution is no more drink. I've tried the sensible approach, but that doesn't work. So total abstinance seems the only option.

Happy New year and good morning,

Well thousands of pounds went up in smoke again last night, them bloody fireworks lol.
What makes people have to have a bigger bang than their next door neighbour? it beggers belief. They started at 10.30 by the way not midnight and carried on till about one o'clock.
I am not against enjoying yourself by any means, but I just don't think having a world war three sound effects is suitable to bring in the New Year. Let alone what it did to my poor dog. It's bad enough on bunty night and that is expected.

So looks like I'll be moaning all year lol as that's the way I have started, ah well never mind.

For all them with stonking hangovers, SERVES YOU RIGHT lol Enaid xx

Strangely enough, the pub the other night WAS a bit rough. Not as bad as the piccy though.

Christmas was spent at sea. The cooks did a fine job. Even had a whole pig that they managed to fit in the oven. Not a whole pig EACH obviously.

But we were alonside in the swamps of Louisiana, so we managed to get out for some liquid refreshment. I don't remember coming back to the boat. I'm never drinking the local stuff ever again.

Anyhoo... hope you all have a splendid New Year. We'll still be at sea for when you lot are getting all vino'd up. I did bring my smaill bagpipes though, so we can see 2008 in, in traditional style.

    Morning all,
Just to let you know i am off to Haydock Races today, hoping to be taking my mum and dad for their xmas treat, won't know though if they are coming yet it's a tad too early to ring them.
Even so it's mine and OH's xmas do so we will be going and having a meal on the way home.
The "murder bag" (this is what we up north call smuggled in booze lol) is packed, half a bottle of Capt Morgans lol this was off my works manager, she got me half a bottle of bacardi as well cause I do both depending on the season.

The weather is not looking too bad a bit wet maybe, but no frost so it may be ok. Still we'll get wrapped up and by the time I've drank me rum lol I'll be all warmed up anyway.

So all being well i will see you all later, maybe not typing as well as this though, hopefully a little richer too. Enaid x
