Heather Mills had sought £125m from the divorce settlement

Heather Mills will appeal against the publication of the ruling in her £24.3m divorce settlement with former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney. Former model Ms Mills said she was taking the step because details contained in the ruling could affect the security of her daughter Beatrice.
There is a stay in publication of the ruling until the appeal is heard.
A High Court judge determined the final figure after the couple failed to reach an agreement in court last month.
Ms Mills said: "I'm not appealing against the judgment because it's not worth it.
"I'm appealing against the publication of it because it has so many details of me and my daughter in it."
    Lump sum
Ms Mills will appeal against the publication of the ruling on Tuesday morning.
Following the ruling, Ms Mills will receive £14m for herself and £2.5m to buy a house in London.
Sir Paul will pay for Beatrice's nanny and school fees, and give the four-year-old £35,000 a year. The judge awarded a lump sum of £16.5m and assets of £7.8m.
The settlement equated to £17,000 for every day of the couple's marriage.
The judge found the total value of Sir Paul's assets was about £400m. Ms Mills had sought £125m and been offered £15.8m.
Sir Paul, 65, and Ms Mills, 40, got married in 2002, but they split four years later, blaming media intrusion into their private lives.

The best bit about yesterdays High Court show down was the fact that lady Mukka chucked a cup of water over Maccas lawyer!!

      The 9 O'Clock News – Tue 18 Mar

Ahhh heatworld.....where all the serious news is reported!
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Re: Makes you want to weep (with anger)

All of it makes me bloody angry.

She bleats about how she will not be able to afford First Class flights for her and her daughter - First Class flights weren't in the region of millions of pounds the last time I checked!

She bleats about the harm Fiona Shakleton is doing for "The Cause" yet it's perfectly acceptable for her to use a team of male lawyers, until they sacked her that is and she had to represent herself.

Media intrusion? All of her own doing, she relished every bit of attention when she was trying to appear whiter than white with her land mine and other such charities. Not to mention the attention she gained and loved when she was merely a model that occupied nothing more luxurious than the top shelf of the Newsagents.

She may well be (slightly) better looking than Linda McCartney, but she's horrible inside.

It's no wonder the public turned against her, she's one of the most pompous, sanctimonious and self centred people notwithstanding her delusions of grandeur, I have ever read about.

If there is a "Cause" she has done the most harm to it - £17,000 for every day she was married!

So, yes it does make me angry.

            Surely you mean 'screwing Macca'?

I must say that for someone who is supposed to be so image conscious and who's image is currently in desparate need of a serious PR overhaul, throwing a glass of water over the solictor wasn't the brightest move.

A few months ago I was having a coffee in Selfridges basement and watched her with their daughter as she spent money like water on overpriced second hand seventies G-Plan furniture.

I think Sir Paul McCartney should try to put his current predicament into perspective. In olden days, if you were unfortunate enough to be robbed by an omniped, it would almost certainly be a pirate. At least he came out of this alive.

I think she should be in the Guiness book of records, for the highest paid prossy in the U.k, £17K a day.

With the ink barely dry on the decree, there is a book out already.

(ok, so its an old one, but it made me laugh)

It is the most interesting judgement I have read, The basics are this, Paul McCartney was grieving for Linda even to the point of meeting Lady Mucca, and The judge thinks Lady Mucca was lying and exaggerating her income.
