  • Is This Legal

I'm trying to work out if a web site that is Legalized Criminality is actually operating illegally outside of the law.

1/ The company in question is a Limited company based here in the United Kingdom with a reference number registered at Companies House in London.

2/ The company in question has a web site that solely targets the United Kingdom market.

3/ The company in question also gives a completely different company name on their web site to the one that is registered at Companies House in London.

3/ Also the company in question uses a Mail Forwarding Service in the USA for that web site.

4/ Also the company name given on their web site was the name of the company registered in Hong Kong but not the name of the company registered in the United Kingdom

So we have a company that is legally registered here in the United Kingdom and the owner has gone to all the trouble of registering a company in Hong Kong with a different name. That Hong Kong registered company's name has gone onto a web site with a false address that is actually a mail forwarding address in the USA. That web site has been set up to solely target the United Kingdom market. Why would a businessman go to all this trouble when he could have just used his own already set up and registered company in the UK ??????

This matter has been reported to Trading Standards and it's being investigated at this time but I would appreciate any information from anyone with knowledge in this field.

Forgot to mention : All the money that is earned from the web site in question that was registered with a business name in Hong Kong flows back to the company based here in the United Kingdom that has a completely different business name and address to that on the web site in question. Not forgetting the web site in question uses a false address of a Mail Forwarding Service in the USA.

Mega - Is there a Limited company based in the UK ? (I've got hong kong and michigan, but not a UK company registration?)

Third party websites are legal, if morally reprehensible.

          Re: Is This Legal

Got scammed along with thousands of others. Bank took the scammers at face value because everything appeared to be done through the correct channels. When I looked further into this because I had time on my hands I found the company in question appeared to be throwing up false trails . Further to this, I later found out the company in question had been in trouble with the authorities for scamming vulnerable people in the past. I now have evidence on this from the relevant agency involved. We are dealing with very clever people and it would good to wipe that smile of their face if criminality is shown to be he case.

Yes, it's all tied up with EHIC_UK.ORG.

Do you want the company's name and address ? Sounds like you already know it !!!

We traced them to a company here in the UK as we managed to pressure the bank for information. Trading Standards instructed me to file a complaint with Action Fraud as they had placed my complaint with them and it required me to confirm my statement.

Here is another letter to Juno Apps Limited from OFCOM : http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/bin..._refusal_1.pdf

This company is definitely behind Vectra Web Solutions Limited because my bank chased the money trail through to Juno Apps Limited who used Wirecard AG to transfer all funds. I have all the paper work from my bank here in front of me. Vectra Web Solutions Limited, EHIC_UK.ORG and Juno Apps Limited here in the United Kingdom are all one linked together.

Ahh good so you have got hold of the UK company details and directors ? through the payments/banks ? I'd love to know ( because I'm extremely nosey and these sites are a bit of a bugbear and I haven't been able to find the UK info on this lot) and who they were dealing as previously. Good to hear you are talking with Trading Standards - though I know they have rather a lot on their plate with copycat and third party websites - this EHIC site is one of the more prevelant problems.

Ahh crossed posts ... nosing .....

So they are on the number refusal list due to consumer protection issues - to do with passing off as NHS Direct !!

                    and more background http://dominoyesmaybe.blogspot.co.uk...actice-on.html
he http://www.medhelpline.co.uk site tells the user to ring an 0906 which is a UK premium number costing £1.02 per minute - 34 times more than the call would cost if you ring the 0845 4647 number. If you ring the 0906 number all that happens is after some burps squeaks and whistles you get "connected" to the 0845 number but you are still paying 34 times more for the call.. if the call takes say 10 minutes you would spend £10.20 using this so called "service" were it would have cost £0.30 to ring the 0845 4647 number directly.

funny how phonepay plus have previously been involved in this lots history as well, wonder if they know Mr Howard of UK Services & Support Ltd.

Anyhoo that aside, it seems that EHIC-UK.ORG is owned by the Juno Apps people hidden as a company called Vectra Web Solutions Ltd registered in the US and Hong Kong ?

I would think Trading Standards are able to request the full company details and directorships from Michigan / Hong Kong ?

Juno Apps Limited uses WireCard AG to transfer their earnings from EHIC_UK.ORG. Please note they have changed their web search name several times over the last three or four weeks. At the moment they are using : http://www.ukservices.org/ehic/?gcli...FSFQ2wodjVMAlQ Also we have noticed a few amendments to their web site in question.

Here is their full address : Juno Apps Limited, Riverside House, River Lawn Road, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1EP. Company Registration Number : 07664745. Tel : 08445597300 or 08456062030. Web site : JUNOAPPS.CO.UK

On a copy of this letter from OFCOM you will find names : http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/bin..._refusal_1.pdf

                            Re: Is This Legal

After contacting the Better Business Bureau in the USA www.bbb.org to file a complaint against Vectra Web Solutions Limited we was referred to Western District Bankruptcy Court Michigan. The court had no information on Vectra Web Solutions Limited and referred us to Grandville City Hall Business Licensing Dept. They had no information on Vectra Web Solutions Limited and said that the address Vectra Web Solutions Limited had given was that of a Mail Forwarding Service. We was then referred to Matt Butts the Assistant Manager of Grandville City Hall. Matt Butts the Assistant Manager of Grandville City Hall Michigan has taken note of all this. We also tried to get information and a copy a legal document from the Mail Forwarding Service that was used without success. Trading Standards are aware of all these facts. I will send a copy of the Mail Forwarding Service address and link along with a copy of that form that is a legal requirement that Ben Carter of Juno Apps Limited would have signed.

Excellent. Keep up the good work on this, it is one that is catching a LOT of consumers out and it needs dealing with. Personally I'd like to see legislation that third party ''interveners'' in government services need to be registered/licenced and regulated.

I've been concentrating on the Passport appointment third party websites, mainly because the harassment of consumers, and taking consumers to small claims court is a more pressing issue - these EHIC sites take a smaller payment at the time of completing their online forms so apart from section 75 claims issues they don't flag up as much.
