Apparently you can buy things called potatoe drums (found out in the garden centre today) they are great big pots with removable sections on the sides, that way you can get to the potatoes with out having to dig the plants up!

What roses do you have? My neighbour has a huge rose bush and I keep sticking my head over the fence to sniff them

LOL... The ones next door are purple! You appear to have the same knowledge of roses as me, I like the white ones!

I cut my yukka in half as it was touching my ceiling. The top half has now grown roots and I've potted it.
What I would like to know is if it is too soon to put it outside - still in the pot - and will the bottom half do anything now? Like grow new shoots? It has done nothing since I cut the top off.
I've looked at loads of stuff on the internet but nothing seems to say anything about the bottom half.

We have got a hedge between us and our neighbour, and want to get rid of it - a fence only needs creosoting now and then, this hedge takes over the garden at times!
How do we get rid of it?
I am tempted to tip loads of weed killer down the roots. Would this work?

I'm assuming the hedge is actually yours...

Yes weedkiller would do but then you are still left with a hedge, albeit a dead one....

Cut it down as low as you can, score the stumps and either get some good quality weedkiller or use petrol. Make sure your not smoking tho!!!
