The extract was posted within quotes in post #253:
[Quote:
Horse Meat, Cultural Differneces
In Britain, horse meat is pretty much regarded as a taboo. As a result, so it is in most English-speaking countries around the world, like the USA, Ireland and Australia. In these countries, the killing of horses for human consumption is widely opposed, because they are looked on as pets, like dogs and cats, as sporting animals and are not to be treated as meat.[End Quote]
But then of course, you will always argue that black is white as per RBS...

We cross swords on the forums most times because we have opposite views on many things but this issue has been done to death and everyone has differing views, each as valid as the next one. Discussions are good and it's always enlightening to hear their views but many are bored stiff of the topic now.
Despite my hatred of statistics, a recent statistic I heard on my local radio station stated that there was an article in one of the papers stated that, labelled correctly, 33% of people would eat horsemeat.
As I have said earlier in the thread, you can get statistics that you want if you ask the question to the right audience, age group, or in a manner which elicits a positive response."Family means that no one gets forgotten or left behind"
