Thats a really nice gesture of the bank to send a useful gift. They are showing their softer side.
When we last moved 14 years ago we received a food hamper from Bank of Scotland a nice one too.

I think that's very nice of them. Useful, too.
I remember when we got our first ever mortgage with TSB, 20 odd years ago, we had a huge bouquet of flowers from our branch, with a card saying "Happy New Mortgage"

Re: The Happy Stuff Thread
Been a bit of a dearth of happy news recently hasn't there? So, I did a car boot yesterday and made £110 profit, which is in the piggy bank for my holiday spends. My son's GF has just finished her PGCE and has been offered a teaching post, so they are well chuffed. Daughter is loving her new job. I've got another 5 days off from my part time job. Oh yes, and this time in 5 weeks I'll be in Corfu on my holidays

Love that idea, I'm going to do that now too.Originally posted by WendyB View PostMy daughter and her friend will be leaving at 1.30pm to head on to another party (much more of a B List kind of event
). Apparently the rules of that one are: whenever Queenie appears on TV, everyone must wave; whenever Prince Harry appears, everyone must salute; lastly, (and this is my personal favourite) whenever Prince Philip pops up, everyone must shout "Bloody Foreigners!".
