No takers? If they've been stiffed on CAG then I won't find out, which would be disappointing.

I agree, that is a good thing IMHO.

The main reason I say that is because any Registered Trolls then have to come here to read what has been said, and that means they can be tracked.

Otherwise, they just sit back at DCA HQ with their webbed feet up, reading what people are saying via the email updates.

That always worried me on GAG.

    Cheers,

    Good thinking BRW

Most of the DCA Threat Monkeys proably register on the home computers but then log on to read all about themselves from the comfort of their Threat Centres.

Still its more fun than standing on a desk in Leeds or waiting for your turn in the Crystal Maze

We took the text out the notifications from day one and it will stay that way.

Cetelco, has kinda beaten me to the post but if anyone does spot an error then PM Amethyst/Tools with the error and they'll try and sort it out(have done that loads of time and it gets fixed).
With regards to sending PM's about who you were on CAG(really, does it matter?) just post up on here a summary of what the case was about and how far you have been because some of us, rarely visit OTR anymore so your problem is brand new and finding out how far you are in that process will help to solve it. Furthermore, some us might know a few things here and are without prejudice, so to speak, and can offer advice

I suggest that you try harder, because what you are actually achieving is just plain rude.

As Amethyst has pointed out in an earlier post, this is not CAG, which is presumably the reason you are here. If you have constructive criticism to make, then sending a PM to Site Admin would appear to be a more agreeable way of helping for all concerned, although of course it would not allow you to demonstrate to us all your mastery of the web…

We are happy that you are here and we welcome all new members, but whoever you were on CAG you are a new member here and manners cost nothing.

Yes there are a number of errors with html and php coding throughout the site. Now and then we'll fire up the Google Webmaster Tools and spend a few hours fixing them, as you say most do not matter in the slightest.

The homepage and sidebar may have coding errors, but they only matter to those of us who try and put them together, and those of us anal enough to analyse every site they visit. So long as things look okay, and work okay, for the majority of our visitors, and don't pee off the spiders or google, then it's happy days by us.

If spam gets sent out on email notifications it is picked up as spam and we get blacklisted. It also causes no end of problems with people posting in haste, then editing, and the notifications being sent out with the original text on. MSE do not include the text in their notifications either.

Anything else while we're moaning ? Just remember, this is not like CAG for a reason, it is NOT CAG.

I agree, while it seemed a good idea at the time, from a mod or admin point of view, and to a point the user's, it does cause more issues as you highlight that are not apparent at first.

You have a fair few errors in your post. Would you like me to point them out to everyone too?
