Now its understandable why the government wouldn't want a criminal investigation because it would implement them. Mind you he missed a god given opportunity to reuse the condems motto, apparently they have been sending out the letters since 2005. Just primed and ready for a "we have inherited this from the previous labour Government" speech.

He wouldn’t know what a shilling was with his knowledge of finance. He would probably sell it to Arrow for a penny. His probably thinks Jack and the Beanstalk was a documentary!

            Great news.

Never for a sec misled me when I got them, but they so easy could mislead those who are not as clued up or observant.

I hope this comes up in Prime Ministers Question time tomorrow. I Think labour are fools if they miss out on this chance to dance an absolute fandango on Cameron et al’.:fencing:

                  hmmm, question to think on.

DG Solicitors we know is not a solicitors firm it is just the practising name they give to hsbc sols. So would completing an N434 for change of solicitors and submitting that to the court not be a little bit naughty when the change of solicitors is from DG Solicitors TO HSBC litigation team.

                  ??????? See Mike770's HSBC thread.
3 Feb 2014 letter from DG Solicitors state:-

Your HSBC account is currently being handled by DG Solicitors.

From 10 Feb 2014 your account will be managed by an advisor within HSBC!s Litigation dept under the supervision of HSBCs legal department. The purpose of this letter is to inform you of this change of solicitor although there will be no change to the way your account handled.

on the reverse of this notice you will see change of solicitor, Form N434, whilst you are not required to take any action , we advise to keep for your records.

Yes indeed, started as fraud, obtaining money by deception, now it is just misleading, next thing it will be just a silly misunderstanding.

Before the end of the month it may be an accepted business practice.

Would this be the same HSBC whose chairman Stephen Green left the bank to become Lord Green of Hurstpierpoint who was appointed Minister of State for Trade and Investment on 11 January 2011?
The same Stephen Green who faced ‘serious questions’ after HSBC, the bank he was chairman of for four years, was accused of allowing drug kingpins, terrorists and rogue nations to launder money through its global subsidiaries.
The same Lord Green who is an ordained Anglican minister, is the author of Good Value: Reflections on Money, Morality and an Uncertain World.
The same HSBC who had alleged ties to Iran, Libya, Sudan andSyria.
What, that revered man and HSBC doing something sneaky?…..NAH!:twitch:

I am what’s known as a ‘ghost’ i.e. I write and research for other people and until I am caught in a compromising position with a first division footballer I will not get work published under my own name; so you see the bitter, twisted and cynical attitude is due to my own failures and not influenced by private eye which even I think is a tad negative! I used to be a fan many years ago but it got a bit like radio 4’s today programme and became more interested in making the news than reporting and investigating it.

I disagree, Paws: the Eye still does it's job. I do miss the 'Grovel' column, though.

                            Anyway, back to the topic.....

A smiley loving investigative journalist then!

I'm an Eye lover as well I have to admit, even if it can, I agree, focus too much on the negative at times.

Well, nothing mentioned at prime ministers question time today regarding the Wonga and student loan scandals. Perhaps this is because although the current gang sold off the student loans, Labour were in the driving seat when the SLC ‘fake letters’ were sent out. I think I will drop Dennis Skinner a line as he seems to have the ‘you-know-whats’ to tell it as it is.
