Based on the corroboration of these articles I rest my case that I made in previous posts.
Lawyers, senior professionals in a maze of occupations all are concerned and worried at the buffoonery of our bewigged fellow citizens.

          Hmmmmm..........

Maybe we were a bit 'previous' in judging the Judges?
Or has popular opinion and media exposure done the trick?

AC, I did think carefully before I hit the "submit reply" button, which is why you can see that there is a question mark after the "s" in the word "cares" A question mark has the effect of turning the phrase or statement into a question. Personally I fail to see what was so offensive in my asking a question which would lead you to rebuke me so publicly, perhaps you can expand?

Can I also remind you that this site does actually allow freedom of speech, a privilege which you have availed yourself of on more than one occasion without, seemingly, thinking before hitting the reply button.

The well known phrase "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" springs to mind.........

Goodwin's mistress fails in High Court bid - Telegraph

The relationship between Mr Goodwin and his senior colleague is being investigated by the Financial Services Authority, the regulator, as part of a report on the collapse of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Sir Fred, nicknamed Fred "the shred" for his management style, presided over the near collapse of the Royal Bank of Scotland, which needed a £20 billion bail-out by the taxpayer.
He left with a pension of £700,000 a year and a lump sum of nearly £3 million. Following a public outcry he later agreed to reduce his payout by £200,000 a year.

Re: Sir Fred Goodwin is not a banker

I'm not sure whether his affair had much to play with regards to the failure of RBS Group. I think it will be interesting to see what role the woman involved with him had in the decision making process. From what I can see, Fred Goodwin did breach RBS Group Code of Conduct but I don't see that the person he slept with having much input into the specific issue which caused the collapse, ie the buying of ABN AMRO at above market value and the fact that the part they bought was the loss making part of the business. Subsequent debt is based on Ireland which could not have been really Sir Fred's fault since they bought NatWest Group in the late 1990's and the future collapse could not have been foreseen.
Ultimately, Sir Fred has to take the blame for the failure of RBS Group since he was the CEO in charge of the business and he was the one who specifically looked towards expansion of RBS Group. I have the sense that the report we will seen will be so much more of an anti climax that we will simply be bored after reading the introduction. I hope it will shed new light on the collapse of RBS but I doubt we will.
