It's all about a footballer at the moment...
BBC News - Privacy injunctions unsustainable, says Cameron

But, the same applies to Bankers and these out of date/out of touch injunctions!

sadly nothing changes does it? One law for a few and another for the rest of the honest decent citizenry of the country.

The judge should summarily be removed from the Bench by the Lord Chancellor's Ofiice. Also the bewigged buffoon justifying his own existence last night on the news. To suggest that Parliament be censored by the judges is just another example of arrogance, impertinance that he would not tolerate from anyone in his court.

Send him down for contempt for seven years and we might, just might believe that the law is just and not a complete farce.

That's just foolish, Tory twaddle - but at least he didn't claim that the ECHR is part of the EU.

The footballer that now one must name, has just been named on channel 5 news @ 5pm

Apparently, an MP used his parlimentary privilge to name him, so now papers are reporting on this guy using the name 'Ryan Giggs' in parliament

BBC News - Ryan Giggs named by MP as injunction footballer

Addressing MPs, Mr Hemming said: "Mr Speaker, with about 75,000 people having named Ryan Giggs it is obviously impracticable to imprison them all."
"You virtually need to be living in an igloo not to know the identity of at least one of the premiership footballers.

I think we all have to remember Margaret Thatcher's futile and childish attempts to gag Peter Wright in the "Spycatcher" affair. That had much more serious implications for all of us than a stupid over paid footballer throwing a leg over some one he should not have done.

Perhaps this will teach him and others to have some principles and ethics and we did not have the internet in the "Spycatcher" era but the fool Thatcher made it into a best seller. I imported my copy from New York.

The focus will now turn back to Fred the Bed...

I wonder if any member of either House has exercised his/her privilege with the focus of Fred's "amour"?

We may not have had the 'net, but we had telephones and personal contacts overseas.

Imho, this has tolled the death knell on super-injunctions.
What are the Judges going to do; overturn Parliamentary Privilege while at the same time banning the entire UK population from Google Search?
