    a) First Acknowledge the Claim, you can do this online via MCOL, this will give you 28 days (plus 5 days postal) in total to work on your defence.

    b) Send a SAR request to OVO Energy they have 30 days to provide all the data they hold on the account. Make sure you get Proof of Postage.

        You have the Gas Act 1986 and Electricity Act 1989, you need to go through them to see what they say regards billing.

          hi thanks for info,

          so far i have Acknowledged the Claim, probley will tweak defence on week-end, I think i may need a solicitor that nows his/her stuff regards ovo energy ready for a bun fight in court

            I would make enquires with solicitors, but would wait until you've had Mediation (it's not part of the Courts). You don't want to find that you've hired a solicitor and the claim is settled at Mediation.

                    Answer 'yes' state 'that you need to explain the evidence and that can only be done with a face to face Hearing'.

                              Both parties fill in a Directions Questionnaire, each party sends a copy of the form to the Court and each other. Make sure you get Proof of Postage.

                              The Court writes to each part with Directions.
