im really stressed out i went into a car park to pick up my kids from a train station nearby i got there about 8 mins before train arrived i didnt leave my car and was about 15 mins all in all didnt realise i had to pay genuine mistake seen other people coming in nobody paid which i would always do normaly but as i wasnt staying didnt think i needed to ....yesterday recieved a letter saying need to pay £60 for early settlement or £100 .... i am so stressed i have never not paid for anything including parking but as i was just waiting in my car didnt get out i just didnt think i wouldnt not pay a charge of a pound to get a fine so high who would to be honest...i have only picked my kids up here twice 18/8 recieved letter 1st sept now im really stressed as i gt them on sunday 30th again just waited in car loads of people around me done same nobody gt a ticket to park so we must all have got these fines....i now know that i should have paid but i genuinely didnt realise as i was sat in the car even if thry charged a small penalty of £10 i could maybe understand the car park was nearly empty as well and it was after 6.00 pm i didnt know if its a 24 hour car park as i say i dnt use this car park ....i was just doing something nice for my kids getting them off a train coming from there dads im now panicking im going to get another parking fine for 30th aug and i just cant afford any of them ....its a genuine mistake if i thought for 1 min i could get fined like this i would have paid i just didnt realise as i was just sat waiting ....i have appealed as i dont understand how these companies get away with day light robbery :-)

What a shame you contacted them as in Scotland there is no POFA and therefore no keeper liability and therefore it's a just ignore as they don't know the driver. Did you name yourself as the driver or did you keep it to appealing as the keeper?

Sorry basically went into A carpark after 6 picking up my kids didnt leave my car not realising was a smart parking private car park got a 60 quid fine that if i paid in 7 days otherwise 100 appealed saying that i wasnt aware never parked in here never left car etc and they declined it but extended the period i could pay the reduced 60 quid fee
