Hi, we live in West Sussex in a property built for a disabled person. My wife has MS and other problems. We have a dedicated parking bay outside with road markings and a sign saying parking for our address only.? We've lived here 5 yrs and never had a problem, that is until just before Xmas. We had a parking charge notice from one parking solutions for not displaying a blue badge. I appealed but they said I had to pay £100. I now have a dept collection firm wanting £170. Any advice would be very grateful. Thanks in advance. Ray.

It might be worth, if you can, going out and taking pictures of the parking area, your space, and any signs put up in the area regarding parking enforcement. Is your house council owned or private ? Is the parking space part of the property ? ( who created the road markings and signage for your space ?)
West Sussex council seem to be doing a lot of changes regards permit parking etc - https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/roads-...consultations/ - I don't know if you've gotten caught up in that somewhere along the lines. Or if it used to be public but is now private and part of the flats land.#staysafestayhome
Any support I provide is offered without liability, if you are unsure please seek professional legal guidance.
