The costs process is equally beyond me. It has to be worth a call to a costs lawyer.Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.
Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

That said - make sure that you collate all your expenditure on the case - any court fees paid, copying charges, travel expenses etc. Hopefully you have kept receipts.
Next - did you keep a log of your time spent working on the case, on correspondence, travelling and hearings?
Multiply your time spent by £19/hour, add your expenses, and write to the other party with a short breakdown, inviting a realistic offer within 14 days.
After that - costs lawyer. I have no idea whether these people are any good: https://legalpracticesupport.co.uk/l...-person-costs/Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.
