I do not have hatred for police officers, they do a wonderful and dangerous job but they are not trained to protect you from fees and charges that are thrown at us everyday, a lot of police officers have left the force for whisleblowing on coruption within.

You're very lucky you only got a fine, Inca. If you had had a blowout at that speed, it is unlikely you would have survived an impact. In fact, it is very likely you would have been declared dead at the scene. You got off lightly.

What you say is true, Legalese. A lot of officers I was on the force with have taken early retirement or, simply, resigned to escape the corruption and political interference that is going on within police forces throughout the UK.

That's always been the case, legalese. When I was on the force, the charge court (criminal charges) was in the morning and the process court (CT, bus lanes) was in the afternoon. On certain days of the week, the traffic court was held. In my experience, JPs should be abolished as they simply rubber-stamp everything. District judges (professionals) seem to do a better job and at least they listen, something JPs do not.

Then it's up to people to make a noise about it and demand the politicians put a stop to it. They need to remember they are servants of the people, not their masters.
