Re: HMCS court Fees October 1st

so those fees are when using the N1 form?
MCOL fees seem to be different.
any idea if the Civil Court Fees Consultation Paper has been passed. as the
Proposals for a system of concessions make interesting reading.
fees could be reduced or waiverd depending on income.

Well in that case I think I'll hold off till Monday with my N1. At the moment it will be £80 (over £500) but if I wait till Monday it will be £60.

if they are for N1 fees then yeah but I'm unsure. just waiting for confirmation

Plus, you may be entitled to a reduction in fees depending on your disposable income. again.... just waiting for confirmation. There is a consultation paper but I can't find out whether it was passed or not

Re: HMCS court Fees October 1st

Yes they are for N1 fees and MCOL fees - they are the same. Neither MCOL or HMCS have updated their sites as yet.

The court have confirmed the fees will change on Monday Oct 1st.

The requirements to be eligible for exemption have also slightly changed. And I will outline these on the Exemption guidance thread in a bit.

The fees for N1 and MCOL are different.

1.3 On starting proceedings to recover a sum of money brought by Money Claim OnLine users where the sum claimed:

                (a) does not exceed £300 - £25
                (b) exceeds £300 but does not exceed £500 - £35
                (c) exceeds £500 but does not exceed £1,000 - £65
                (d) exceeds £1,000 but does not exceed £1,500 - £75
                (e) exceeds £1,500 but does not exceed £3,000 - £85
