I have had issues with a family member, who has posted nasty messages about me on a social media site for all the world to see. I have nasty e-mails from this family member, and there is even a threat in one of them. Is there anything I can do.

You can report them to the police under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.

In regards the social media site, if the messages are not true you can inform them and ask for them to be removed citing the Defamation Act 2013 s.3 if they get funny about it.

My posts here are based on my experience of a variety of life events. I have no formal legal training & if in doubt take professional legal advice or contact CAB. If you follow anything I write here you do so at your own risk & I accept no liability for any loss, costs or other outcomes.

Private messages are disabled as help is only offered publicly. I do not come on here in the evening, at weekends or on public holidays.

Legalbeagle is a very good website guiding about the laws which are applied on family matters so I check*best assignment writing services uk to find out quality work.. I am very much hopeful about the consequences of consulting a lawyer. Matters should be resolved as soon as possible.

Perhaps pinging the SPAMMER would have more effect, at least in the UK we don't have a deranged President.
