Re: Can i submit this as my appeal plz help

    Hi, thanks for replying.

i havent spoken to acas as yet, since i thought it would be better to maybe send the appeal and a separate grievance letter, then with that mediate through ACAS? not sure the exact process though.

Your first step should be to call ACAS as they will know exactly your rights and what to do next.

well, I WAS sure it was ten pounds, but now I really have no idea. Bit of a difference lol ... reading the accusations and the police interview I'd still think ten pounds, how have they come to losses of £10000?????

If that's the case, then Enquirer's remark that they should investigate your manager becomes urgent.

If it were true, they would surely have involved the police?

Re: Dismissed for gross misconduct please help

From earlier ''I was summands to the police station. It was at the police station that I was made aware of my manager’s accusations against me. My manager had told the police that he suspected that I was working in partnership with the second customer and kept asking me why she had come in twice and how was it that id made both mistakes with the same woman.
Then they said I did not take payment for the scratch cards. But it was clearly seen that she had given me payment from the CCTV footage.
Then the CID Officer said my manager is accusing me of stock theft totaling £10.00. From 2007 to 2013!

At that point I asked to view the evidence. The officer lifted a bunch of documents and said this is the evidence I asked to see the CCTV evidence. The officer proceeded to show me footage of me going about my duties. Behind the till was a Euro million lottery ticket. It remained on the side then you see me take it go into the stock room / back office where my team leader was you can even see me motion with my arm and had that I was taking it to our other unit directly opposite my unit (store) As a staff member had previously printed and requested to purchase the ticket.
He said he would bring the payment to me but had come back in my store once or twice and did not attempt too pay for it.
I took it to him with permission and he paid.
I obtained a receipt for it and came back into my store with the receipt viewable in my hand.
I have no idea why this was given to the police, as it was an authorized action
I have no idea if in fact an investigation had taken place why my team leader had not submitted a statement regarding that situation. Also the officer showed me the same footage of the customer number two who left with out paying for the newspaper.
How ever the officer not ask me about that he said I’m working with her and that Id given her two scratch cards for free!
I asked to have the footage re winded and then asked him to pause the footage. On two occasions the officer attempted to forward past the part where the customer had provided payment for both cards.
I was not charged but told that I would be hearing from them. I was told they haven’t made a conclusion and would keep the case open pending further evidace.in August my doctor signed me off work due to high blood pressure and anxiety. I sent the company every sick note covering from august until dismissal in Jan 2014. In that time my company had made a number of attempts to forge ahead with the hearing. Offering me new hearing dates to hold the hearing in my home or on the phone or to have some one turn up on my behalf and for me to provide consent to IMMS to obtain my medical records.''

was the police interview in June 2013? Have you heard anything from the police since?

How is the £10k made up? Did the manager go through the accounts with you, or discuss It with you at all?

What was the 'retraining' meant to be ?

And obvious question, are you responsible, in your honest opinion for stock losses of anything near that value?

I'm not surprised you are stressed and suffering with anxiety having to deal with that kind of accusation.
