Hi Joe
This is my opinion, other forum users may provide different advice.
You need to give your permission to the other party that you consent to receive emails.
You clearly haven't done this. If the other party tried to send you an email they would have got a message that the email cannot be sent.
I don't think failure to send you a copy of their completed N180 is justification for the case to be struck out.
However, failure by a party to file completed N180 by the date stated is grounds for the case to be struck out.
After the stated date for return of N180, and you still haven't received a copy in the post from the other party, you should telephone the court to check whether they have received the other party's form.
If not, ask the court how long you should wait before you send the Request for Judgement form.

The claimant serving you a form N180 is them trying to hurry up the court process, don't fill it in and wait for the court served N180 in the post then return it to the court and serve on the other party by the deadline set forth in the order of the court.

Joe has completed N180 and filed it the court, and sent a copy by post to the claimant as directed by the court
He has not received the Claimant's copy of N180, 4 weeks after the closing date..
The court is now taking 45 working days to process N180 (confirmed by court staff this morning), longer if both parties agree to mediation.
The times the court is stating to process documents are increasing week by week.
