  • CST Law letter before claim

I’m hoping someone can advise me last April 2022 we went for a meal to the Airport pub Manchester it’s owned by smart parking .
we stayed just over an hour when it came to pay I started to input the reg I got the first 4 letters in wp— in and it said £1.80 so I assumed I put the money in and continue with the rest of the reg.
but it printed out only the first 4 letters and should of been £2.10 for over 1 hour.
I asked a member of staff and they helped me to input the full reg and for some reason again it said £1.80 but I assumed they would realise it was the same car being minutes between and I had now paid £3.60 with 2 tickets.
but no this wasn’t correct I got a letter saying I owed £60 I refused and said I had paid I have both tickets .
this has been going on for months I have now received a letter before claim from cst law for £170 and unsure what I should do .
I have both tickets for £1.80 each but in error only 1 shows the full reg the first one only shows half but I have paid for both.
can any one help me .
    Thanks

Did you receive a paper copy of a pre action response pack with the LBC?
Out of interest, to whom are CST instructing you to pay the alleged debt?
What is the issue date on the LBC?
You state that you have previously communicated with someone; you don't state to whom.
Have you ID'd who was driving at the time of the alleged contravention?
Where are you domiciled, & where did the alleged contravention occur? (England, Wales, Scotland, NI).

Were you given 30 days to respond to the LBC?
Was a PAP response pack enclosed with the LBC?
