Reading other threads on other claims is a good way to get a general idea of how things work, but no two claims are alike so it can be a risk copying what someone else has done.

You need to ask questions, listen to the answers and then weigh up what would be the right thing to do in your specific circumstances. Always consider the consequences of every step.

As they say 'if you ask twenty different lawyers the same question, you'll get twenty different answers'

What did you decide to do about your Defence filing deadline which was 4 pm today?

It's always good to hear a claim has been discontinued. Yay!

@Elaineg can you post the reason you feel why this claim was Discontinued following your previous PM exchanges with @nemesis45 ?

This information may help other Legal Beagles' members even if the advice to you (by PM) was not available on the forum at the time.

I'll be happy to post the advice given by Nem that meant the case was discontinued ... as soon as I have the go-ahead from both parties concerned

Rest assured (in the mean time) I was involved in some (if not all) of the PM exchange and I was happy with the advice given - AND the reason for secrecy xx

                        Okay

My point was simply that if legal advice was given to a LB member (by a non lawyer?) which resulted in a formal legal outcome that may benefit the LB community.

Advice given by a 'non lawyer' may not be subject to Client Confidentiality issues.

Although I'll admit that I'm not aware of this forum's rules on confidentially (is there a link you can post?)

The LB team are quite capable of dealing with any issues that may arise on the forum - but thank you for your concern.

I didn't express any concern about "legal advice" given by PM behind the scenes to a forum member.

The "legal advice" given by PM clearly worked according to the result (claim discontinued).

                              Good.

I was only hoping that the advce given (by a non lawyer?) could be shared in order to help others facing a similar set of legal circumstances.
