  • Orbit debt collector came to house Cabot

    Arrived this morning unable to understand the accent
    Cabot are sending letters. And silent phone calls
    Debt is statute bared
    Last payment was 2011 via DCM Apex
    I do not have any paperwork from Cabot about this debt

    If no payments has been made or debt acknowledged in writing in the last 6 years, then the debt is statute barred.

    You could send the following, see what there response is, make sure you get Proof of Postage -

    'Silent calls' lodge a formal complaint with Cabot, their complaint procedure will be on their website. If your not happy with their response, lodge a formal complaint with the FOS.

    You could also raise a complaint with Trading Standards.

      Back in 2011 is was paying in to a debt management company DCM Apex it is now defunct as that was going to creditors i have no CCJ and a Clean Credit File also have constant phone calls numerous letters from Cabot
      And a embarrassing door knock today asking who i was

      I will send the template letter and one for harassment

                Just Received a letter this Morning From Orbit
                Your account is no longer with us
                Thank you for taking the time to write to us about your account however we no.longet hold it and had been returned to Cabot


                Say's the sum.is £3400

                How do i proceed next kind regards Paul

                    Do nothing. Come back here if you ever get any further contact from anyone about this debt.

                      You've told them / Cabot that the debt is Statute Barred.
