Hey Folks, it's been a while....

I just wanted to let you all know that there have been no further communications since that delightful late springtime, and if we make it to the full 12 months of peace and quiet I'll consider it done, dusted etc.

More importantly, I'm now forewarned and forearmed should they try their luck again.

I'm still wary of making any financial decision that involves a hard credit search in case the agencies provide their favourite clients with a nudge, but to be honest I have no need of such things in a hurry so all is well.

Thanks once again and see you all somewhere close to that date to fire up the anniversary waltz.

      Thanks for the update.

Note that altho'they cannot enforce the CCJ (without court's permission) they can continue to attempt to collect the debt.
This means they may try again via a different DCA

Thought I'd pop back, apologies if this is considered Bumping.

Cabot have been silent, and no more interaction.

This year appears to be Lowells turn to chase something historic from the same time in my life - they've acquired an ancient card debt via Hoist (Hoist didn't go beyond a few letters and never amped up to threats of further action which suggests nothing enforceable), so I'm going to be working through the same playbook, but with more confidence in the end result. I've already been reading up on some of their more murky tactics of faked payments, misdirection and such, so I'm kinda looking forward to letting them waste some time and money in the pursuit.

I have to say their weekly letterbomb pressure could throw a lot of people into immediate panic, but more likely it shows how desperate they are to get a return on their debt purchasing. Always good to refresh my letter-writing skills, a much underused talent these days. Unlike last time (and to avoid abusing the forum when more recent cases need your very valuable help) I'll only comment again upon a result or if something completely beyond my garnered knowledge occurs.

Keep up the great work everyone. More people need you than ever.
