  • Cabot financial CCJ threat

Hello good morning I am wondering if someone can help me. I am being chased by Cabot financial for a debt from 2017. I have not paid anything since 2017 but Cavour financial have update the debt on my credit file to the 18th oct 2018. What are my next steps to take to get this resolved. I don’t understand why the debt was updated in oct 18. They are now threading a CCJ but I believe the original debt was £800 and increased to over £2000 can I offer to pay the original debt with out the interest that has been pilled on?

    Hi SARALOU2021

When you say 'threatening CCJ', what have they sent you?

Have they sent you a Letter Before Action?

What kind of debt is it?

    Who is the original creditor?

It is send via email. It was for an aqua credit card apparently. This is the email Sara, legal action will begin in 14 days

We have not received any contact or payment from you, and you have not taken any action to prevent legal action from commencing. As we take this matter seriously and want to help you avoid a CCJ, but we can only do that if you talk to us.

If that is a Letter Before Action, there is quite a bit of information missing.
