Hello....
I received a 'Warrant of Control' issued by the 'County Court Business Centre' on Fri 26th Jan - Letter Dated 23rd Jan informing me of a CCJ that had been raised against me and granted 'Default Judgment'.
I'm told that the Bailiffs will visiting on or after the 2nd Feb to collect the debt or take items of value to auction.
The debt is CC from Coop bank and the last time I made a payment was around 2010. The debt no longer appears on my credit report.
I received no emails/letters/claims forms from either the County Court informing me of said CCJ or from Cabot (Claimant) despite the fact that my address hasn't changed in 23 years - in fact it's the same address used for the CC application and I am on the Electoral Roll.
I wish to contest this as the debt is certainly Statute Barred.
I also have reason to believe that Cabot purposely gave the courts an incorrect address for me in order to prevent me from receiving the claim form and therefore contesting the claim.
I have been filling in the n244 form but as of yet am still baffled as to whom I should send this information to - County Court Business Centre or County Court Brighton.
Can anyone assist?
